As of my last update in September 2021, there are several famous Odia movies that have gained popularity and critical acclaim in the Odia film industry. Here are some of the well-known Odia movies:


 Sita Bibaha (1936) - 
Directed by Mohan Sundar Deb Goswami, this is considered one of the earliest Odia movies and is based on the mythological story of Sita's marriage.

 Matira Manisha (1966) -
Directed by Mrinal Sen, this movie is a critically acclaimed Odia classic that portrays the struggles of a poor farmer and his family. 

 Sesha Shrabana (1976) - 
Directed by Sabyasachi Mohapatra, this movie is a poignant tale of love and sacrifice and received national recognition. 

 Maya Miriga (1984) - 
Directed by Nirad N. Mohapatra, this movie is a sensitive portrayal of the bond between a grandfather and his granddaughter.

 Hakim Babu (1985) -
Directed by Nitai Palit, this movie is a popular comedy that follows the misadventures of a quack doctor.

 Maa-O-Mamata (1990) - 
Directed by Nikhil Mohan Pattnaik, this film revolves around the mother-daughter relationship and their struggles. 

Suna Chadhei (1988) - 
Directed by Raju Mishra, this romantic drama is a favorite among Odia movie enthusiasts.

Akashe Ki Ranga Lagila (2009) - 
Directed by Sushant Mani, this romantic comedy became a massive hit and marked the rise of Anubhav Mohanty's popularity.

Balunga Toka (2011) - 
Directed by Sudhakar Vasanth, this romantic comedy was another blockbuster starring Anubhav Mohanty and Barsha Priyadarshini.

 Krantidhara (2016) - 
Directed by Susant Mani, this film is a political drama with a strong social message. Please note that the Odia film industry has continued to produce more films, and new popular movies may have been released since my last update.
